A Brief Introduction to CATV Technology Department of CRTV

　　CATV Technology Dept. is a section directly subordinate to CRTV and it is a specialized department for the design, construction and sales of satellite TV system and CA TV system both in and outside China.

Fully equipped with competitive technological strength and all kinds of instruments and facilities, the department holds the Designing & Installing License for CATV issued by SARFT, the Designing & Installing License for CATV in Beijing and the Installing License for Satellite Ground Receiving Facilities，both issued by Beijing Municipal Radio and TV Bureau. Based on the principles of elaborate designing, excellent constructing, strict requirements and active cooperation, the Dept. has undertaken large and medium sized satellite TV and CATV projects both in and outside China, thus accumulated rich experiences and enjoyed high reputation in this field.

The Dept. could provide the customers with such services as the design and construction of satellite broadcasting networks, the consultation about VAS of CATV, and the all-round solving plan for the upgrade and improvement of CATV station in the medium and small cities. It wishes to cooperate with all circles in investing and managing CATV networks.

The Dept. also deals in various imported and home-made facilities of high grade in the field of CATV & satellite TV, and all sorts of devices required by CATV value-added business (such as cable modulator, etc..)

As the exclusive agency for the decoders of CCTV International, the Dept. has already sold them to more than 100 countries and regions. As known to all, the decoder plays an important role in receiving CCTV International by Chinese embassies, consulates and institutions functioning abroad. The Dept. also takes on the task of providing technological consultation and service in down-linking CCTV International abroad. From the end of 1996 when the program of CCTV International is up-link, we have sent nearly one thousand sets of decoders of CCTV International for Chinese embassies, consulates, economic & commercial departments, overseas news agencies, branches of international corporations and overseas Chinese; left for Chinese embassies in Romania, former Yugoslavia, Mali, Zambia, Vietnam, Gabon, Mongolia to solve the problems in receiving CCTV programs; left for Chinese embassies in F. S. of Micronesia, Samoa, Tonga, Mongolia etc. and consulate general in Khabarovsk to install satellite ground-receiving stations. Especially, we succeeded in solving the engineering problems in the Chinese embassy in Gabon and Russian Fareast National University so that we were praised by national leaders Mr. Li Peng and Mr. Li Lanqing. We would like to devote in the overseas receiving of CCTV programs by providing good service.
